11th German Diversity Day
On May 23, 2023, the 11th German Diversity Day (DDT23) will take place at the initiative of the Charta der Vielfalt. Under the motto “Diversity connects”, companies will have the opportunity on DDT23 to “fly the flag for diversity” with various activities. The aim of the employer initiative Charta der Vielfalt e. V. is to increase the recognition, appreciation and inclusion of diversity in the German working world. corsus has already signed the Diversity Charter in 2020. In our team, we strive to work together without prejudice. Mutual appreciation and openness to diversity are particularly important to us.
The Diversity Charter takes a holistic approach. The dimension wheel model maps the seven core dimensions of diversity defined to date. These are fundamental aspects of personality, such as age, gender, origin, religion or physical and mental abilities. In addition, there is an outer level of the dimension circle with more flexible personality characteristics that can also lead to inclusion or exclusion. These include, for example, marital status, education or habits and leisure behavior. At corsus, we work in an interdisciplinary team of individual personalities with different professional experience and backgrounds on a socio-ecological transformation.
The association has prepared a number of things to support the German Diversity Day on May 23, 2023. Companies and institutions can register actions for their own staff or the public and download action material. The interactive action map and the action archive, together with the action recommendations, provide a good overview.
The quiz in three difficulty levels is also exciting. Test your knowledge of diversity in the online game and then discuss the results with your colleagues!
