Anke Butscher has been advising local authorities on the strategic implementation of sustainability for many years. Her advice is based on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations and the Economy for the Common Good. She has been ISO 17024 certified since mid-2024 and also tests prospective consultants according to this ISO standard.

The certification programme is divided into 5 core modules, focusing on comprehensive training and further education that specifically imparts skills in the areas of sustainability, public welfare orientation and reporting. Participants not only acquire a deep understanding of tasks, goals and interrelationships in the context of sustainable development and public welfare orientation, but also benefit from personal development and the opportunity to actively participate in shaping their region for the future. Particular attention is paid to improving the quality of sustainability reporting, which is becoming increasingly important for municipalities, organisations and companies.
The international ISO 17024 standard ensures that consultants work independently and are regularly audited according to recognised standards. A certified consultant in accordance with DIN ISO 17024 fulfils the highest requirements in terms of expertise, objectivity and methodological reliability, as does Anke Butscher. She and four other people are also authorised to carry out inspections as part of the ISO 17024 certification process. Only testers who have the relevant specialist knowledge and practical experience in the area in question are appointed. These requirements are verified by authorised third parties as part of the approval process, through proof of qualification and competence assessment.
