Biofach 2024 – corsus moderates workshop on soil health
Ulrike Eberle from corsus will moderate the workshop “What is healthy soil and can soil health be measured?” at the Biofach Messe 2024 congress in Nuremberg on February 15th, 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. (NCC East | Level 2 | Hall Copenhagen) Kerstin Wortmann, Head of Department G III 5, Environment and Nutrition, in the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV) will welcome you on Thursday. This is followed by a panel discussion with Johannes Ehrnsperger, owner and managing director of Neumarkter Lammsbräu, Sigrid Griese, responsible for research and development, sustainability and climate protection at Biolandberatung GmbH and Dr. Rolf Sommer, Head of Agriculture and Land Use Change at WWF Germany.
The following key questions will be discussed:
- What constitutes “healthy” soil?
- Why should food manufacturing companies care about soil health?
- Are the parameters proposed by the EU sufficient?
At the end, Ulrike Schaal from BNN, Matthias Beuger from AöL and Maja-Cathrin Riecher from WWF Germany will draw a conclusion. The workshop is carried out together with WWF Germany and the Bundesverband Naturkost Naturwaren (BNN) and takes place as part of the ‘CLIF – Climate Impacts of Food‘ project.
