corsus is a member of Biodiversity in Good Company
corsus has been a member of ‘Biodiversity in Good Company’ since March 2025. The initiative is committed to ‘giving biodiversity the relevance in business, politics and society that it actually has as the basis for human existence’. Stopping the loss of biodiversity has always been a particular concern at corsus. Curbing the decline in biodiversity, the loss of ecosystems and the reduction of genetic diversity is one of the greatest challenges facing society. As climate change is exacerbating these negative developments, action is urgently needed. At the same time, many companies, local authorities and organisations still find it difficult to grasp how they can reduce the negative impact of their activities on biodiversity and at the same time promote species conservation.
This is exactly where corsus comes in:
- We support the development of a biodiversity strategy with concrete goals and measures (Biodiversity Transition Plans).
- We support biodiversity in sustainability reporting.
- We identify significant risks with regard to biodiversity.
- We calculate the biodiversity footprint of products and processes.
- We support stakeholder processes in large-scale nature conservation projects, design and moderate them or prepare large-scale nature conservation projects through dialogue processes and mission statement development.
A particular focus of corsus’ expertise is on sustainable food systems. And this is precisely where biodiversity management is particularly relevant, as agricultural processes have a major impact on biodiversity – in both a positive and negative sense. By integrating biodiversity into sustainability management, conflicts of objectives, synergies and interactions can be identified and holistic sustainability strategies developed.
It is precisely this expertise that we are very happy to contribute to Biodiversity in Good Company. We are very much looking forward to exchanging ideas with other members of the network in order to learn and advance the protection of biodiversity together!
