corsus is a training partner of the German Sustainability Code (DNK)
The German Sustainability Code (DNK) was developed in 2010 by the German Council for Sustainable Development (RNE) in a dialog process with representatives of politics, the financial market, companies and civil society organizations. The Sustainability Code is a reporting standard for sustainability in companies and organizations. The Code concretizes the concept of sustainability with its 20 criteria and selected performance indicators for the corporate context. Recently, corsus has been listed as an official training partner.
In order to support companies competently in the preparation of a sustainability report, the RNE has developed a training concept for the application of the DNK. Companies and organizations can rely on DNK training partners for the preparation, creation and finalization of DNK statements. The DNK training partners have many years of expertise in sustainability consulting and support companies throughout the entire sustainability reporting process. A prerequisite for the training partnership is continuous training via annual training formats as well as an own DNK declaration. All training partners can be found via a database and a map on the DNK website.
corsus supports companies and organizations in the entire reporting process. To this end, we conduct workshops with executives with different objectives and content, among other things. Depending on the requirements, we define the scope and framework of reporting, develop materiality matrices and embed reporting in a sustainability strategy that serves as a guideline for companies to operate more sustainably. Part of reporting is also developing specific, measurable, attractive, realistic, and timed (SMART) goals. In addition to preparing a sustainability report based on the DNK, corsus also advises on other reporting standards such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and the Common Good Economy (GWÖ). We also write and design sustainability reports together with our network partners.
The DNK is a comprehensive reporting standard that covers all relevant sustainability dimensions and has been under further development for many years. With the DNK, companies can report, for example, on their contribution to the Paris climate protection goals, the fulfillment of human rights due diligence obligations along the value chain, or their sustainability strategy. The DNK is continuously adapted to legal requirements such as the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG) or the Corporate Social Responsibility Directive Implementation Act (CSR-RUG). In the case of an existing reporting obligation, companies can thus also fulfill legal requirements with a DNK declaration. Future non-financial reporting obligations such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) are also to be covered. corsus’ own DNK declaration can be accessed here (only in German).
