corsus managing partners are jurors for the German Sustainability Award 2024
Anke Butscher and Ulrike Eberle, managing partners of corsus, decide as members of the expert juries which companies and products will be awarded the German Sustainability Award (GSA). This year, for the first time, the GSA will be awarded alongside the company prize for products as pioneering solution contributions to sustainable transformation. The independent jurors are looking for impactful ‘lighthouses’ in the transformation fields of climate, resources, nature, value chain and society
Ulrike Eberle (PhD) is a juror for this year’s company award and is also a member of three expert juries in the transformation fields of climate, nature and resources. She advises many companies on the development and implementation of sustainability strategies. As an expert in sustainable product development and sustainability assessment, she has carried out numerous life cycle assessments and carbon footprints and helped develop methods for assessing impacts on biodiversity. She is a member of the Scientific Committee of the international LCA Food Conferences and heads the research project BioVal – Biodiversity Valuing & Valuation at the ZNU – Centre for Sustainable Leadership at the University of Witten / Herdecke. The research project develops and tests practical tools for integrating biodiversity into the management of the food product life cycle.
At corsus, Ulrike Eberle heads the field of sustainable food systems and is also the contact person for sustainable purchasing. Among other things, she develops methodological concepts for climate, environmental and sustainability labelling.
Anke Butscher (PhD) was appointed to the expert juries of the Product Award in the categories Society and Value Chain. The focus here is on products and solutions for strengthening society and role models for fair value chains.
Anke Butscher is an expert in the implementation of sustainability at an organisational level. She develops sustainability strategies with companies and municipalities, develops recommendations for action for socially responsible supply chains, advises on the implementation of human rights due diligence and supports municipal sustainability projects. Anke Butscher is a certified Economy for the Common Good community consultant and played a leading role in the development of the ECG standard for local authorities.
Anke Butscher and Ulrike Eberle are looking forward to the interdisciplinary exchange with the members of the jury and are excited to see the nominated products and solutions for the socio-ecological transformation. The award ceremony will take place on 29 November 2024 as a special event as part of the 17th German Sustainability Day.
