Nature conservation project “Naturally Hamburg!”
corsus supported the large-scale nature conservation project “Natürlich Hamburg!” (Naturally Hamburg!) to strengthen biodiversity and nature experience in Hamburg. We conceived and moderatde the workshop talks for 30 areas in seven Hamburg districts, where thematic focuses and concrete measures for urban and nature encounters, new forms of connectivity and new care practices and urban material cycles were presented and discussed. We designed and moderated the dialogue labs where important topics for nature conservation in Hamburg were discussed, such as wildflower meadows in the city. We also moderated the regular meetings of the project-accompanying working group.
Phase 1 of the large-scale nature conservation project Naturally Hamburg! ended in 2022.
With a ceremony in the garden of the Trinkhalle in Hamburg’s Stadtpark, the second project phase was inaugurated in May 2023. Based on the overall maintenance and development plan developed in Phase I, funding is now available for the implementation of measures in 14 nature reserves, 19 parks and along four main traffic arteries within ten years.
