Brochure SDGs und kommunale Gemeinwohl-Bilanz published as part of a series by the Bertelsmann Stiftung

In implementing sustainability strategies, more and more municipalities are aligning themselves with the United Nations’ Agenda 2030 with its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In addition, there are already a number of municipalities that have drawn up a common good balance sheet.

In the new edition of the publication series “Analysen und Konzepte. LebensWerte Kommune”, Dr. Anke Butscher, Matthias Kasper, Sigrid Koloo and Henrik Riedel elaborate on the key points of the common good balance sheet in municipalities. After describing the importance of the SDGs for municipalities, the existing connections between the common good balance sheet and the SDGs are analyzed. The authors point out ways in which the common good balance sheet can be more closely linked to the SDGs and present selected tools, projects and plans.

The brochure is published by the Bertelsmann Stiftung in Gütersloh and can be downloaded free of charge here.
