Monetary indicators for pollinator services – the first meeting with the advisory group

What is the value of the services provided by animal pollinators? Clearly, this is not a simple question. As part of a research project on monetary indicators for pollinator services commissioned by the German Federal Agency for Nature Conservation (BfN), corsus investigates and evaluates diverse methodological approaches for monetary indicators. Within the scope of this project, a discussion with the scientific advisory group, took place. The advisory group is made up of renowned expert scientists in biodiversity, economic assessments of biodiversity including in the development of biodiversity-related indicators.

DIHK commissions corsus to conduct biodiversity training courses for companies

DIHK Service GmbH has commissioned corsus to offer 2026 biodiversity training courses for companies belonging to the regional DIHK/IHK biodiversity alliances. The training courses impart practical knowledge and present specific tools for biodiversity management in companies.

Expert discussion on the environmental impact of nutrition

The project ModErn – Modeling the Ecological Effects of the Revised DGE Dietary Recommendations – examines the environmental impact of nutrition and how this would change if everyone followed the dietary recommendations of the German Nutrition Society (DGE) or the recommendations of the Planetary Health Diet 2.0 of the Eat Lancet Commission. As part of the project, which corsus is carrying out on behalf of the German Environment Agency (UBA), an expert discussion was held on December 9, 2025, to present and discuss the results. The expert discussion was moderated by Dr. Krishan Gairola, with Dr. Ulrike Eberle and Felix Lücking presenting the results.

Against rollback and crisis mode: The Transformation Congress of the German Sustainability Award – #DNP25

The #DNP25 brings together leading figures from business, politics, science and civil society to drive forward socio-ecological transformation. The managing directors of corsus are looking forward to the congress, exchange of ideas and award ceremony for the German Sustainability Prize 2025.

Biodiversity in companies: General meeting of Biodiversity in Good Company

On 24 and 25 September, this year’s general meeting of Biodiversity in Good Company, the network for companies committed to protecting and promoting biodiversity, took place at Werner & Mertz in Mainz. corsus has been a member since March, and our managing director, Dr Ulrike Eberle, was impressed by the commitment and expertise that comes together in the network, as she was at the expert meeting in June.

Talita F. Amado, was thrilled to present the Food Impacts Toolkit (FIT API) at the LCM 2025 conference in Palermo, Italy. FIT is an innovative open-source API designed to calculate environmental assessment scores for food products and recipes. By providing clear, regionally relevant data, FIT empowers consumers, food providers and policymakers to make informed and sustainable decisions.
