This week, Dr. Ulrike Eberle und Dr. Anke Butscher, the managing partners of corsus, attended the Sustainable Economy Summit 2026 in the political heart of Berlin. The summit underscored that, despite current challenges, there remains a strong sense of hope for a shared and resilient future in harmony with planetary boundaries and the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
Companies and municipalities in Lower Saxony can receive financial support for the preparation of Common Good Balance Sheet. The state of Lower Saxony provides funding for this, which is administered by the Investment and Development Bank of Lower Saxony (NBank). The aim of the program is to strengthen sustainable and responsible business practices and to support organizations in implementing the principles of the Economy for the Common Good.
The district administration of Marburg-Biedenkopf is the first district administration in Germany to successfully complete a common good report in accordance with the criteria of the Economy for the Common Good (GWÖ). The district is thus sending a strong signal for transparent, responsible administrative action. The process was professionally advised and accompanied by Dr Anke Butscher, certified GWÖ consultant at corsus GmbH.

The managing directors of corsus were appointed to the juries of the German Sustainability Award for both companies and products.
The parishes of Nieharde, Witzwort, Oldenswort and Husum celebrated the successful completion of their Common Good Balance Sheet with Nora Steen, Bishop of the Schleswig and Holstein diocese, on 14 May 2025 at Christian Jensen Kolleg in Breklum. The parishes were the first in northern Germany to spend a year working out their contributions to the common good with the advice of Dr Anke Butscher and Gerd Lauermann.
