Beta Version of harmonised Life Cycle Assessment methodology for agrifood products for Ecolabelling is open for consultation

A big step forward for sustainable food labelling in Europe! The Eco Food Choice project, co-funded by the EU LIFE programme, brings together nine partners from France, Spain, Germany, and the Netherlands to create a harmonised ecolabelling system for food products by 2028.

Brightway, what is it and what can it do?

At the invitation of the Bavarian State Academy for Food, Agriculture and Forestry, corsus presented the results of the first, preliminary assessment of the environmental impact of the new dietary recommendations of the German Nutrition Society (DGE) on 9 July 2025.

Networking for biodiversity conservation: How can biodiversity conservation be implemented?

As a member of ‘Biodiversity in Good Company’, corsus took part in the capital city impulse “Economy and Nature. The Coalition of the Future‘ and the ’Unternehmen Biologische Vielfalt – UBi” annual conference in mid-June, followed by a meeting of the members of Biodiversity in Good Company. The dramatic loss of biodiversity must be stopped as a matter of urgency, especially as it is also causing very high economic costs. The main question discussed at the events was therefore ‘What measures need to be taken to stop the loss of biodiversity?’.

The Austrian World Summit (AWS), organised by Arnold Schwarzenegger’s climate initiative, took place in Vienna on 3 June 2025. At a press conference held as part of the summit, Dr Ulrike Eberle presented the results of a life cycle assessment carried out by corsus on behalf of SUN AG.

Expert discussion on the environmental impact of food

ModErn looks at the environmental impact of nutrition and how this would change if we all ate according to the revised dietary recommendations of the German Nutrition Society (DGE). As part of the project, which corsus is carrying out on behalf of the Federal Environment Agency (UBA), an expert meeting was held on 16 April 2025 to discuss with experts which optimisation scenarios should be mapped on the basis of initial results.

Lecture by corsus at dialogue workshop on biodiversity
