The district of Plön has unanimously adopted a comprehensive sustainability strategy that shows ways for social, ecological and economic development in the interests of the people in the district and beyond. Four parishes of the Northern Church in Germany live sustainability and the common good
The parishes of Nieharde, Witzwort, Oldenswort and Husum celebrated the successful completion of their Common Good Balance Sheet with Nora Steen, Bishop of the Schleswig and Holstein diocese, on 14 May 2025 at Christian Jensen Kolleg in Breklum. The parishes were the first in northern Germany to spend a year working out their contributions to the common good with the advice of Dr Anke Butscher and Gerd Lauermann.
International Day for Biological Diversity: Effective protection of biodiversity is more important than ever!
22 May is the International Day for Biological Diversity. Biodiversity Day was established to emphasise the importance of biodiversity for society and the economy and to raise awareness of the need for nature conservation and the sustainable use of natural resources. In 2025, the motto of the day is ‘Harmony of nature and sustainable development’ – a fitting motto for the work of many corsus projects.

On 7 April 2025, Tourismus-Agentur Schleswig-Holstein GmbH (TA.SH) hosted the first conference for the Schleswig-Holstein 2030 Tourism Strategy in Neumünster. Nynke Hack, Dr Christina Mumm and Dr Krishan Gairola, as well as the moderator Christopher Scheffelmeier, moderated the group work on field of action 5 ‘Ecological transformation and climate impact adaptation’ of the tourism strategy.
