Globally Sustainable Municipality Schleswig-Holstein

After six years, the “Globally Sustainable Municipality Schleswig-Holstein” (GNK) project is coming to an end. The network meeting of the GNK municipalities was therefore held in the state capital of Kiel with words of welcome from State Secretary Katja Günther and a certificate presentation ceremony.

St. Peter-Ording is the capital of fair trade

St. Peter-Ording took first place in the competition “Capital of Fair Trade” for the first time. The coastal town was honoured for its commitment to fair trade and fair procurement on 5 October 2023 in the presence of the Parliamentary State Secretary of the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

Mission statement of the municipality of Hagen im Bremischen

On 12 September 2023, Dr Anke Butscher presented the draft mission statement of the municipality of Hagen im Bremischen to the municipality’s economic and structural development committee. The mission statement was developed together with a cross-factional working group. Now the citizens are asked to send back their ideas and suggestions.

Flensburg City Council adopts ambitious strategic goals of the city development strategy „Flensburg 2030“

On February 23, the Flensburg City Council adopted the strategic goals of the urban development strategy “Flensburg 2030” by a majority vote and thus took a big step towards positioning itself for the future in terms of sustainability. Since autumn 2021, corsus has been accompanying the development process of the city development strategy, which will run until the end of 2023.

Municipality of St. Peter-Ording nominated for first German SDG Award at UN Climate Change Conference

The municipality of St. Peter-Ording was nominated on November 9 at the UN Climate Change Conference in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt for the first German SDG Award (Sustainable Development Goals) of the Senate of the German Economy in the category “Cities, Municipalities & Counties” out of more than 100 applications. This recognizes the local development concept “Sustainable St. Peter-Ording” as an exemplary project that is consistently aligned with the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals.
